Out of the attic: Newark basement to outer space — 1958 to 2013

Jun 18, 2024Jun 18, 2024

This week’s Out of the Attic item is an undated view of a house built about 1950 on Paper Mill Road and overlooking the White Clay Creek as the residence of Wilbert (Bill) and Genevieve (Vieve) Gore and their children Robert (Bob), Susan, David, Ginger and Elizabeth.

The Gores had come from Utah, where Bill had earned degrees in chemical engineering and physical chemistry to work at the DuPont Experimental Station. The parents were involved in community volunteering and the children all attended and graduated from Newark High School.
